My speech is typically 25 to 40 minutes for a banquet, depending on what is on the agenda
for the event. A school assembly is typically 50 to 60 minutes, depending on the length of a
school's typical class period and how long the principal would like the speech to be. For a
college or university, it is usually 60 to 75 minutes, plus 30 to 60 minutes for Q & A and it
fit the audience and the time allotted, but much of the content is the same.
